俳句 a haiku leaf-fall....
the damp sky leaden
we turn on all the old lamps
as the sun arrives
⌣ ⌣ ⌣
brief rain a nothing
the arid plains unimpressed
not even thirsty
⌣ ⌣ ⌣
wedding tango
while far below
the fossil record
⌣ ⌣ ⌣
thirty all of them
comparing memories
the towers pancake
⌣ ⌣ ⌣
the broken trail steep
this uncertain shack above
the valley ugly
⌣ ⌣ ⌣
her scars pose questions
ten years a nun in Myanmar
jays screech in the woods
⌣ ⌣ ⌣
the waterfall sings
that lieder from old Wagner
her kitchen fragrant
⌣ ⌣ ⌣
she leaves her table
with a cool practiced flourish
red leaves just outside
⌣ ⌣ ⌣
someone else's lilies
the funeral director
talks of "cremains"
⌣ ⌣ ⌣
a passing crisis
the moon’s disappeared
broken when water stirred
